Jordan DeJong, MA, LPC

Jordan De Jong is a licensed counselor in the State of Colorado and has experience working with adults and teens. She received her Master's in Counseling from Regis University in Colorado Springs, CO. Upon graduating, Jordan joined a community health agency in Colorado Springs, AspenPointe, working with the Homeless population, meeting individuals in their own community, and encouraging them to seek assistance and support to find hope and purpose in their lives.  After becoming independently licensed, she worked in private practice as a therapist at Emmaus Family Counseling Center in Ashburn, VA outside of Washington D.C.  She joined the practice with Plankeel Counseling, LLC after moving back to Colorado Springs with her husband and two kids.

Jordan enjoys working with individuals processing through trauma, anxiety, addictive behaviors, eating disorders, and those who struggle with self-acceptance, forgiveness, and self-esteem. Jordan utilizes Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to assist clients as they process through trauma, negative self-talk, setting boundaries and limitations, and learning to forgive and validate themselves as goals are developed.

Jordan enjoys time with her family playing games and enjoying the great outdoors.  If she can be of help to you to get through any past trauma or current challenges you face, please just call or email to schedule an appointment.  Jordan is accepting new clients using Tricare, BCBS, and cash payment at this time. Most new clients are being directed to see Beth Kirk-Small, LMFT due to availability, but Jordan will be happy to receive your call to see if it is possible to get you in.
